Quality Assurance Assistant - Men's Adult Detoxification

Schedule: Full-time (Benefits eligible)
Pay: $19 / hr

Benefits - Approximate full-time benefits package value = $21,000:

The mission of this position is ensure the quality and accuracy of all client files, and timely and correct input of information in online database, UWITS and to complete client Medicaid checks and complete monthly and weekly reports that are assigned. 

Essential Duties

  • Complete all duties related to Medicaid in a timely manner, including Medicaid checks, submission of completed Medicaid applications, updating data into the Medicaid tracking spreadsheet, and completing monthly checks to find which clients have received Medicaid.
  • Update client UWITS profiles with necessary billing information in a timely manner.
  • Complete Census weekly for Detox and the Center for Women and Children and other reports assigned by designated deadline.
  • Reports and Contracts
    • Complete weekly/monthly reports (Census, Host Report, JDP log, Refusal Log, & Emergency Services Log) in a timely manner. Ensure that all reports are completed and sent to designated contacts, Program Director and Division Director of Detoxification Services by or before each due date.
  • Complete Case File Review on all discharged client files to ensure completeness of all required data. Provide efficient filing system for all client records. Manage annual archiving process.
  • Regularly communicate with Quality Assurance Coordinator and Program Director regarding areas related to data collection forms that may require additional staff training.
  • Regularly communicate with Staff Manager and Staff Coordinator about any pattern of mistakes staff members may be making, so retraining or correction can occur.
  • Maintain appropriate, professional boundaries with clients, volunteers, and co-workers.
  • Adhere to Volunteers of America, Utah personnel handbook and the policies and procedures manual
  • Attend work on a regular and predictable basis.

 

Secondary Duties

  • Take action and make decisions within position’s scope of responsibility.
  • Participate in various meetings and trainings as needed.
  • Learn, utilize and endorse trauma Informed practices.
  • Perform other functions as necessary or assigned.

 

Qualifications
 

A high school diploma or GED, Associates Degree and one year of work experience in a related field or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to use a computer, phone, and copy machine.
  • Ability to answer and direct phone calls.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse workforce, clients, and the public.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail.
  • Remains calm and responds appropriately in crises.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Organize, prioritize, and independently complete multiple tasks.
  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a current driver’s license and have a good driving record.
