Description
Split your time equally between proactively educating and then partnering with the community to provide sustainable employment opportunities for youth and providing housing support for youth on Rapid Rehousing vouchers.

Essential Duties
  • Provide case management services to clients.
  • Identify priority needs and coordinate services as needed.
  • Utilize agency approved therapeutic techniques as outlined in the training module Motivational Interviewing.
  • Seek out partnerships with local businesses and engage their support as employers.
  • Educate the community partners on youth homelessness and best practices in employment and housing of this demographic.
  • Develop positive relationships with YRC guests to drive their employment and housing efforts.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled clinical case review and prioritization meetings in order to ensure appropriate case planning and referral of clients to the most appropriate service provider.
  • Facilitate employment and housing related groups.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Provide case management services to clients.
Qualifications
A degree in the field of social services or experience working with youth any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • M eet the requirements for State of Utah Case Management Certification.
  • Works effectively and ethically with a diverse group of people.
  • Maintains appropriate, professional boundaries with clients, volunteers, and co-workers.
  • Exhibits clear communication skills and cooperates with others.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, Food Handler’s certification, HMIS training, and clean TB testing.
  • Contributes to an environment of mutual trust and respect by treating others fairly, demonstrating empathy, and effectively managing interpersonal conflict to preserve constructive, professional relationships.
  • Organizes, prioritizes and accomplishes multiple tasks.
  • Protects the safety of all information handled
  • Work is performed inside and outside of the Youth Resource Center; must have ability to climb stairs and enter apartments.
  • Pass a criminal background check and a drug screen.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, no DUI in the last 5 years).
$17.00 per hour.
