Therapist - Intensive Case Management

Part-Time
Pay: $31.25 per hour

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the ICM Program Manager, provide direct and indirect outpatient therapy services to agency clients. Assist with clinical program development and community networking as needed.

Essential Duties

• Perform intake evaluations/assessments, formulate client diagnoses, and provide individual and/or group therapy services.
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals as needed. This means responding to crisis calls and/or clients on the ICM team in crisis even if these are not clients assigned to your caseload. 
• Provide case management services to clients in order to plan, coordinate, cooperate or deliver ancillary services necessary for the effective treatment of clients.
• Develop and maintain satisfactory work habits with respect to timeliness, judgment, cooperation, communication, responsibility and computer literacy.
• Develop and maintain effective therapeutic alliance with clients, including conceptualizing and fostering effective therapeutic process.
• Maintain clinical records, record service, and develop and update treatment plans as indicated by agency policies and procedures. As well as distribute OQ’s to assigned clients on a monthly basis.
• Consistently meet productivity requirements of 60% billable services per week.
• Attend work as scheduled and arrive at the designated time.

 

Secondary Duties

• Maintain good professional relationships with appropriate community figures, referral sources, and other professionals.
• Maintain and enhance professional skills and knowledge through attending conferences/ workshops/courses and reading professional materials that are relevant to job requirements and approved by the Program Manager. Maintain any and all continuing education requirements in order to maintain the therapist's professional level and status.
• Participate in clinical staff supervision and case consultation/staffings.
• Demonstrate familiarity with and adherence to Utah laws regarding confidentiality and mandatory reporting requirements.
• Conduct professional life in accordance with the standards of his/her discipline and the clinical policies and procedures of the agency.
• Maintain familiarity with issues and trends in the substance use disorder treatment field including comorbid mental health issues, advances in psychopharmacology, theory and evidence-based practices.
• Perform other functions as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health discipline and Utah licensure as a mental health therapist (or eligibility for Utah licensure within 2 years of date of hire).
• Possess an active/current licensure status and remain in good standing with the Department of Professional Licensing.
• Demonstrates an ability to use sound judgment within the scope of the position’s responsibilities. 
• Organized, detail oriented, self-starter.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention.
• Ability to uphold professional boundaries, confidentiality regulations, agency policies and procedures, and interact in a professional manner with a diverse workforce, clients, and the public.
• Willingness to accept supervision and direction.
• If driving is a part of the job, must be at least 21 years of age, possess a current driver’s license, have a good driving record, and be insurable on the agency liability policy.
• Must be able to pass Utah-DHS – Office of Licensing background screening and pre-employment drug screen.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.
• Ability to move around the facility, interacting with clients for extended periods.
• Work is performed inside and outside of an office environment; must have ability to climb stairs, sit at a desk for extended periods of time, enter clients homes, as well as deliver services in shelter, on the street, etc.
