Increase public awareness and financial support for Volunteers of America, Utah working in the Development team.

Essential Duties:

1. Assist with ongoing maintenance of web and social media platforms; creation of department communications; special events; fundraising events; video production and photographic efforts
2. Maintain department storage space and public relations materials and bins.
3. Identify new tools and trends that might streamline processes and allow Volunteers of America to stay on the cutting edge of industry communication and marketing trends.
4. Be available to work assigned shifts, as well as evenings and weekends as scheduled.
5. Assist with community presentations, booths, and tours.
6. research efforts as directed to grow portfolio engagement across all fundraising channels to increase revenue, including corporate partnerships, commercial co-ventures, special events, and individual giving.
7. Assist with the In-Kind Donor Program and other activities related to volunteer program and relations.
8. Complete data entry in our database management system

Qualifications:

1. Attending University level classes in marketing/communications, nonprofit management, business, or related field.
2. Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in an office setting.
3. Proficiency with MS Office, social media platforms, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign)
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including customer service skills.
5. Enthusiastic, organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize projects.
6. Comfortable interacting in a professional manner with team members, a diverse workforce, donors, and outside agencies.
7. Walk up and down stairs and be able to lift 20-25 pounds and maneuver special event equipment via carts etc.
