Rate of pay: $55,000 to $60,000
Schedule: Full Time - 40 hrs/week

This position will lead agency data collection, analysis, and reporting functions and support program with quality data to measure outcomes in a timely and efficient manner.


Essential Duties
  • Guide and support the data collection process, analysis and reporting for VOA programs and ensure that reporting requirements are met in a timely manner for both government and private funders with an emphasis on data validity, accuracy, and quality.
  • Supervise Data and Outcomes staff functions including any hiring, training, and performance coaching of Data Specialists.
  • Actively participate and provide support to Quality Improvement and Data and Outcomes (QIDO) Board Subcommittee.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all agency’s programs and activities, as well as stay current on regulations around government awards.
  • Conduct periodic Grants and Reports meetings, to ensure agency compliance with grant requirements related to data collection and reporting requirements.
  • Perform data queries, data exploration, manipulation, and evaluation as needed to prepare and analyze reports for government funders, grants, and other internal and external sources on a timely basis.
  • Serve as the point of contact for data requests, reports, and supporting documentation requested in monitoring/auditing events.
  • Review reporting requirements of all funding sources to ensure that adequate data is being collected to fulfill requirements. Work with programs to update and develop data collections tools as needed.
  • Participate in enhancing and implementing quality control procedures regarding the collection and reporting of data. Analyze data quality reports to validate data and to identify fluctuations from expected results. Research variances and review with program staff to validate and correct data and processes as necessary.
  • Ensure proper training of data entry staff and volunteers to insure timely and accurate input of data into HMIS, UWITS, and other required databases.
  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems with report documentation.  Ensure that all data is properly secured and is maintained according to established record retention policies.
  • Performing work on site is preferred to support program and administrative staff in person.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least two years’ experience with a focus on data analysis, data integrity and maintenance, reporting, data enrichment, and program tracking or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, advanced skills in Excel and databases. (Skills in Tableau, PowerBI, VBA, Access, and SQL a plus). Ability to utilize computer software effectively and efficiently to perform all tasks.
  • Results-oriented, team player, collaborative and self-motivated. Able to work with multiple departments.
  • Natural curiosity with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Ability to uphold professional boundaries, confidentiality regulations, agency policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to accept supervision and direction.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a current driver’s license, have a good driving record and be insurable on the agency’s liability policy.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and Utah DHS – Office of Licensing background screening.
Physical Demands
  • Work is generally performed in an office environment. Must sit for extended periods of time.
  • Use computer screen for extended periods.
