Description

Direct the overall operations of our 83-bed Adult Detoxification Center and actively coordinate the day-to-day operations including: staffing; budget management; program development; policies and procedures; compliance with licensing, contract, and agency requirements. Ensure the program is providing the highest quality services to clients. This short-stay residential facility provides services to homeless and low income men and women detoxing from various substances.

Essential Duties

  • Evaluate and implement program policies, procedures and practices to ensure that they meet client needs, are effectively administered and are Trauma Informed practices that are in line with program and agency mission.
  • Utilize appropriate licensing, agency and contract requirements to guide daily program operations and program development.
  • Maintain compliance with funders and/or contracts throughout the year. Coordinate annual licensing and audit process and monthly progress reports to funders.
  • Assist in preparing program budgets, participate in monthly budget meetings to follow up on the status of the budget and to assure the program stays within approved budget limits.
  • Supervise the management team and assist with staff hiring, training and evaluation. Provide any training and guidance as needed.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and trainings to discuss best practices, address concerns, promote teamwork and staff self-care.
  • Coordinate and collaborate effectively with our agency and community partners to provide a continuity of care for clients, to build positive working collaborations, to assist in meeting client needs and connecting them with needed resources.
  • Provide the necessary training and support to ensure emergency and crisis situations are handled in the most effective and compassionate way.
  • Escalate major concerns and incidents that have threatened the safety of clients, staff or the facility to the Division Director. Staff incident with Division Director and create and follow through with a plan of action to address the situation.
  • Provide crisis management support and clinical supervision as needed and be a support to program staff and on-call staff at various times.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (on licensure track - preferred) in social work, psychology, counseling, criminal justice or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Understanding and/or training in:

o Trauma Informed Approach

o Motivational Interviewing

o Trans theoretical Model - Stages of Change

  • Supervisory and administrative experience in a social services setting.
  • Budget management and development experience.
  • Program development in a community setting.
  • Ability to utilize all the tools provided that will assist in your work (i.e. phone, computer, etc.)
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse workforce, clients, and the public.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail.
  • Maintain appropriate, professional boundaries with clients, volunteers and co-workers.
  • Remain calm and responds appropriately in crises.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks; flexibility to respond to changes.
  • Organize, prioritize and independently complete multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Driver’s license and good driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, no DUI in the last 5 years).

Salary: $48,000 - $68,000
