Description
Make a positive difference in the lives of 14 formerly homeless young men, 18 - 24 years of age, who now live in our Transition Home (556 So. 500 E). Assist in the supervision of the facility and aid residents in working toward self sufficiency, gaining permanent housing, increasing income and healthy living skills.Interact with residents and build rapport with them.
  • Oversee activities of residents to ensure their safety; well-being; participation in the program; and compliance with guidelines.
  • Resolve conflicts between residents and provide crisis intervention.
  • Develop goals with residents and assist them with their goal plans.
  • Facilitate educational and volunteer groups.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and completely.
  • Assess medical emergencies, provide emergency First Aid and CPR, and coordinate medical services as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to enforce rules.
  • High school diploma/GED and significant undergraduate education in the social sciences, psychology, social work, sociology, criminal justice.
  • Experience working with young men.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, no DUI in the past 5 years). Must be at least 21 years of age due to auto insurance requirements.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Full-time (30 hours per week): Saturday, Sunday, Monday 9 pm - 7 am. Additional shifts may be available filling in for scheduled and unscheduled absences. Benefits included.

$12.00 per hour + $1.00 per hour grave differential
