The 83-bed Adult Detox facility provides services to homeless and low income men and women detoxing from various substances. This is a 24-7 facility. Under the supervision of the Adult Detox Program Manger, the Staff Manager will:
- hire, train, develop and supervise 25 - 30 front line staff
- coordinate the front line staff schedule and find coverage for shifts when necessary
- provide training on trauma informed practices and procedures
- manage and direct daily services to clients
- review staff documentation and practices to ensure consistency of client services
- arrange and run monthly staff meetings/training to increase skills for integrated services of both substance abuse treatment resources and coordination of collateral services, i.e. domestic violence, life skills, dual diagnosis
- assist the Program Director in managing the Adult Detox programs and facility
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree and 3 years paid work experience in treatment services and/or a Drug & Alcohol Counseling Certificate or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and the disease of alcoholism/drug abuse
- Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care preferred
- Familiarity with community addiction recovery resources/systems
- Understanding of the needs of the homeless and low income population and experience in substance abuse treatment with this population
- Energetic, compassionate yet assertive, positive, organized
- Work a variety of days and shifts
- Ability to walk up and down stairs
- Able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
- Must have a clean driving record (no DUI in the past 5 years, no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years).
